Friday Tarot Link Love
Happy weekend! The weather here is shite, and while I’d like to step away from my devices, it’s probably not going to happen. If you’re looking for some tarot goodness, here are a few things to check out:
Camelia Elias has a new book. The talismanic version is sold out, but the paperback is available on Amazon. If you’ve never read Camelia Elias, you can read this essay to figure out where to start.
In the mood to craft? Want to get your sew on? Sew silk tarot bags with Catomancy Tarot.
Watch my friend Jess discuss in a completely genuine and authentic way how she does tarot in response to #Howdoyoudotartot?
Don’t want to make a tarot bag? Would rather spend some money? Artisan Tarot just came out with leather wallets for their Jean Noblet Trumps poker size deck. For your standard size tarots, they have super cute corduroy bags.
Speaking of Artisan Tarot, in the mood for some learning this weekend? Marilyn from Tarot Clarity is teaching a class on Saturday, where she’ll “share the origin stories of the tarot with a focus on the trump cards. She will explain how political correctness and religion played a role in tarot’s formation and the meanings of the cards that we know today.” Good times!
Musings with Mascha teased a video that’s in the can, her top 10 Marseille Decks. I’ll be looking for this this weekend.
Who bought the Vachie for 50k? What is the Vachie? What does the inside of the Meneghello store look like? Lot’s of good stuff going on in the Tarot History Facebook group.
We all know Rachel Pollack’s tarot work, but she is also a celebrated author of science fiction and fantasy novels. Spend some time this weekend with Doom Patrol, based on the DC Comic Book Series, of which Rachel Pollack wrote issues #67-#87. These are not your ordinary superheroes.
Are you a Swifty? Didn’t get tickets for the Eras show (that would be me). Shake it off, and check out this Kickstarter. This is not on my wishlist, nor a thing I think the world needs, but maybe it’s for you.
So, that should keep you busy! Next week on the blog, the Oprah Book Club, Tarot Style. I have thoughts on her new book club pick, Hello Beautiful. And those thoughts, of course turn to questions. Stay tuned.
This is how Charley and Olive will be spending this cloudy, rainy, dull weekend.
